WELCOME TO THE FRANKLIN THEATRE COMPANY
at Franklin High School
Franklin Theatre Company (FTC) is a high school group that provides an average of 7 Stage productions each academic year. The founder and Artistic Director is Mrs. Lisa T. Sandoval. Mrs. Sandoval also teachers Drama Classes at Franklin High School.
Theatre productions have the following departments supporting the theatre: Scenery Shop, Costumes, Sound, Lighting, House (Theatre), Property, Hair & Makeup, Personnel, History and Public Relations, and an array of personal (including students) that support the productions.
There are four classes per day that teach theatre cirriculum from beginning to advanced and Children's Show theatre classes.
FTC is supported with the parent booster group, the Franklin Theatre Association (FTA). Without their support, FTC could not produce so many shows. The parent volunteers help provide the support to produce so many shows during the Academic season.
FTC also works in cooperation with Toby Johnson Middle School's Theatre Company. Thanks to their Artistic Director, Ms. Corinne Spinelli, many students participate in an annual musical and other productions at Toby. Also, a great working relationship is established with FTC and TJTC. Classes exchange events during the day a couple times each school year; and Toby Johnson students either audition for FTC's annual spring musical or come to work with productions at FTC. Also, Ms. Spinelli helps with FTC spring musical shows.
Franklin Theatre Company is part of the Visual and Performing Arts Department (VAPA) at Franklin High School. The VAPA includes:
