FTC PRODUCTION MANAGER
John has been helping with FTC since 2005. He began assisting with the scenery shop and set construction. After some time, he and daughter Cheryl worked with the FHS Booster Club and Mrs. Sandoval to develop the Franklin Theatre Association (FTA), the booster theatre parent support group.
From there, John begin working with photos of theatre activities, programs, and helping secure shop materials for set construction. John soon became a daily assistant working daily in the classroom to help aid the teaching and supporting activities to help relieve the load for Mrs. Sandoval.
John has been attending the FHS Booster Club since 2005. He was a Booster board member for 2 years, then was President for 2 years. Still attending the booster meetings and supporting their efforts along with his responsibilities to the theatre. He has been publishing a newsletter since 2006 and manage a web site for theatre.
John worked for Lockheed Corporation for 37 year retiring in 1999. He worked for the department unit that supported photography, offset printing, copy printing, video and animation productions, and was an authorized buyer for those groups. He was responsible with two staff people to maintain network and server operations for these groups.
He has been involved in community activities involving what to do with closing schools in the 1980s.
John was involved with a Little League Organization for 17 years. He was a coach, umpire, held every board position including President for 6 years. He was activitly involved to establish a Area Youth group to help ensure practices facilities were available for the many new and expanding youth organizations. He had the fortune to attend a Little League World Series with his leagues team in 1976.
